Now, as more applications are getting connected again, there is also a new wave of Outlook integrations. Most e-mail services are designed to connect with Outlook. Hosted mail like Gmail, Yahoo and Hotmail can be connected to Outlook with a simple setup. That means that these services can also be backed up with a local PST backup.
The earlier method of PST recovery included the use of EdgeSafe Control Station to manually restore the specified users/computers PST by EdgeSafe admins.
This method now deals with how a user can him/herself recover PST without any intervention of support staff.
In such a case, the Control Station is not required to start the recovery process.
The first step in this process is to define Agent Configuration in such a way as to enable the Restore tab from within the Backup Agents deployed to individual workstation.
To do this, select Configurations > Agent Configuration and place a check mark on the Restore box.
